If you share Burial Cloud with others, you can receive a share of what they spend here. Stewards and families are welcome to take part, and you keep your own account exactly as it is.

This money arises from somebody having died. We have tried to write the terms plainly, and to leave nothing for you to discover later.

Join the programme

How it works

Join from your account. You are given a referral link of your own. Nothing else about your account changes.
Share the link. Anybody who follows it and makes an account within 30 days is recorded as having come from you.
Receive 15% of what they spend. It is held for 30 days in case of a refund, then paid out once you are owed $25 or more.

The terms

Commission: 15% of what a family you referred spends
Attribution: 30 days from following your link, applied when they make an account and never afterwards
Hold: 30 days before commission is confirmed, so a refund can be taken back cleanly
Payout threshold: $25 USD
How you are paid: Bank transfer through Stripe, monthly
Currency: USD, for both purchases and payouts

What earns a commission

Gifts left on a memorial: flames, flowers, wreaths and flags. A one-off purchase earns 15%, and so does the first payment of a monthly gift.

Later payments of a monthly gift do not. If a family you referred keeps a flame lit for three years, you receive commission on the first month only. We would rather say so here than have you work it out from a statement.

Plots are not sold. A memorial gets its place in the cemetery at no charge, so there is nothing to earn on one.

Worth knowing

You cannot be credited for your own account. The rule is enforced in the database, not by review.
Refunds and disputes are taken back from your balance in proportion to what was returned.
To be paid you will need to give Stripe your details directly. We never see your bank account.
You can leave at any time, and any commission already confirmed is still paid.
